Avatar 2: O Rei dos Clichés

Depois do Avatar ser baseado na Pocahontas com uma pitada de Matrix e Star Wars eis que chega o tão esperado sucessor. Apresento assim o trailer de “Avatar II – My Big Fat Pandora Versus The Deathly Hallows Striking Back At Muriel’s Lethal Weapon: Reloaded”.

Claro que não passa de uma brincadeira de um programa da ABC Australia chamado “Hungry Beast” mas realmente teremos outro Avatar? Tudo indica que sim… pelo que li (não sei bem onde :P) alguns dos actores assinaram logo contrato com a possibilidade de até 2 sequelas. Além disso lê-se o seguinte na secção “Sequel” do artigo da Wikipédia sobre o Avatar:

In 2006, Cameron stated that if Avatar were successful, he hoped to make two sequels to the film.[239] In 2010, he said the film’s widespread success confirmed that he will.[25] The prospect of sequels was something he planned from the start, going so far as to include certain scenes in the film for future story followups.[239][240] Cameron said he wants to make the sequel “cheaper and faster” and that the story will be a continuation of the characters introduced in Avatar.[235]

Though plots for future sequels have not been laid out yet, Cameron stated that they are going to widen the universe while exploring other moons of Polyphemus.[235] The first sequel would continue to follow the characters of Jake and Neytiri.[241] Cameron implied that the humans would return as the antagonists of the story. “I expect that those nasty humans didn’t go away forever,” he said.[242] Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana have signed on to reprise their roles in future sequels, and Stephen Lang, who played Colonel Miles Quaritch, believes his character could make a return: “You think those two arrows in my chest are going to stop me from coming back?” Lang told Entertainment Weekly, “Nothing’s over so long as they’ve got my DNA.”[240] In late February 2010, Sigourney Weaver, who played Dr. Grace Augustine, announced the possibility of her return for a sequel in an interview for the Le Grand Journal TV Show in Paris.[243]

When being interviewed by AP on the red carpet of the 82nd Academy Awards, Cameron stated “if I were to start Avatar 2 tomorrow, it would still be three years away.”[244]

Por isso esperem que a desgraça vai continuar!! Vvá eu até gramei o filme. O problema é que foi “over-hyped” como se fosse a melhor coisa desde o tempo dos Afonsinhos e não o era.

Se foi caro? Eles dizem que sim.
Se utilizou tecnologia muito avançada? Vê-se que sim.
Se foi um êxito? Os números dizem que sim.
Se é um mau filme? Não. É bastante aceitável.
Se é original? É mas recorre a alguns clichés facilmente identificáveis deitando o resto por terra.
Se é uma obra prima? Não o é!! Devido aos referidos clichés.

Mas bem… fico à espera do 2 e depois logo volto a falar de Avatar.
